Finishing Instructions: Liv’s Classic Slow-Roasted Pork
To enjoy your pork at its best—succulent meat and crispy crackling—we recommend this two-step "Chef's Method."
1. Warm the Meat (The Gentle Way)
The goal is to heat the pork without cooking it further, which can make it tough.
The Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 160°C. Place the pork into a baking dish. Cover the dish tightly with foil to keep the moisture in.
Timing: Heat for 8–10 minutes until the meat is just warmed through.
2. The Crackling "Flash" (The Secret to the Crunch)
Crackling often loses its snap when stored in a bag.
The Grill: Place the crackling under a hot grill (broiler) for 1–2 minutes. Watch it closely! You want it to sizzle and "re-puff" without burning.
Result: This removes any moisture and brings back that signature crunch.
3. To Serve
Rest the pork before slicing, then arrange the warm pork slices on your platter and pour over any resting juices.
